Dual Chamber Metal Heat Treat Furnaces
Dual chamber heat treat furnaces for tool steels (17-4 PH, D2, A2, A6, H13, S7, M2, AISI 4140) have two furnace chambers on top of each other. The upper chamber is used for hardening (red heat up to 2250°F) and the lower chamber for tempering/drawing/aging without waiting for the hardening chamber to cool down to the lower temperature required for tempering or drawing. The upper chamber door raises vertically for operator safety and the lower chamber has a convection fan for increased temperature uniformity. Optional 2000°F in the lower chamber available.
Options Fan Upgrade, High Limit Temperature protection, Audible Alarm and different temperature controllers and various other options.
A quench tank can be stored under the furnace and rolled out when needed. The wire wound heating elements are embedded into a ceramic plate which makes it easy to replace. Additional features such as inert protective atmosphere in each chamber to avoid scaling of your parts during heat treating are available; see Dual Chamber Bench Top Spec Sheet Other means to reduce scaling: parts wrapped in heat treat foil.
Controls: Both chambers are equipped with their own electronic control, thermocouples and solid state relays.
